This 28 year old patient with Type 1 DM needs to be treated in a different format as compared to Type 2 DM.

Type 2 DM is generally considered very similar to Kaphaj Diabetes, while right opposite could be Type 1 DM and this patient thus can be considered in Vataj Diabetes.

This patient should be treated with Bruhan concept. We have developed a preliminary guideline to treat such patients which is showing good improvement in initial few patients.

The treatment consist of a Diet plan of > 1400 Cal of food along with Snehan, Swedan and A special bruhan Anuvasan basti of 240 ml. Kindly reach out to your ZMH to enroll this patient for this treatment and make the related treatment kit available in your clinic.

Parameters to be assessed regularly will be

1. Weight gain : 3 days
2. FBS and PLBS : 3 days
3. Serum Insulin PP: 30 days
4. C peptide : 30 days
5. HbA1C : 30 days

Weight gain will be considered as a good sign in this patient along with control of his BSL during simultaneous reduction of insulin doses.

As you must be knowing, Heart attack also called as Myocardial infarction is due to a coronary thrombus or a blood clot in lay man terms which does originate in few minutes obstructs the blood supply in any coronary artery to the myocardium. This whole scene can stretch for about 6 to 10 hours where the myocardium cries out for blood supply creating Angina. If the blood supply reaches the Myocardium in time, the cardiac muscle is saved, if not, the heart muscle is damaged leading to reduction in EF.

The risk factors involved in coronary thrombus initiation include smoking, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, stress, and family history of atherosclerosis. A fissure in the atherosclerotic patch can lead to bleeding and thus form a thrombus.
